White Wedding Decor – The Seattle Wedding Show

If you attended the Seattle Wedding Show, there’s NO WAY you missed Kirkland based, Woodland Flowers‘ stunning booth!  I love all white weddings.  Such a clean palette ends up relying on tones and textures and, done correctly, creates perhaps the MOST elegant look.  It’s really, just breathtaking.  Here are some images I photographed at Woodland Flowers’ booth in order to share here on the blog.  Who wouldn’t be inspired for their own wedding with this?

Some of my favorite notions from this display:

  • Working with a local artist to create visual backgounds – This white paper cut-out is by local artist Celeste Cooning – You could have something commissioned to go behind your cake table, gift table, or even a photobooth backdrop
  • The shabby chic flower vases – Scour yardsales, ebay, or RecycledBride.com for objects that make an impact
  • The textured linens – This effect is actually two linens; a smooth under linen from BBJ Linen and an ornate top linen from La Tavola – available for rental online
  • The perfectly designed paper products – Complete the look with menu cards that carry the theme and feel of the event.  These were by Brown Sugar Design

Photographer geek out moment: Because the Seattle Wedding Show is packed full of booths and people and ideas, I shot this with an 85mm lens.  It let me isolate objects and blur the backgrounds to keep a clean and focused look.  A wide angle lens would have added unwanted distortion and included surrounding booths.

Completely amateur flower moment:  So I know just a few of the flowers used here… Ranunculus, white phalaenopsis orchids, alstroemeria, dusty miller, and… that’s about the end of my flower knowledge…

luv, Kimberly
