Happy Father’s Day

Father’s Day is this Sunday.  As if you weren’t aware ;)  Instead of taking the regular business angle of trying to sell you some electronics, golf clubs, or a tie… we thought we’d show you some cute, fatherly images from Rebecca and Brian’s wedding!

Parents are so frequently one of the best parts of a wedding day.  They’re excited, attentive, involved and such a joy to photograph.  They’re full of silent, proud moments and meaningful glances that are perfect for the camera.

Most parents are thrilled to be involved all throughout the wedding day and we’ve got a couple of suggestions for ways to make sure you get to spend some time with them:

  • Brides – Let your dad deliver your bridal bouquet to you once you’re in your wedding dress.
    • There are two men on your wedding day who will be very affected by the site of you in your dress.  Your father and your husband to be.
  • Grooms – Let your dad put the finishing touches on your getting ready.  Straightening your collar, helping with your cufflinks, these are all small rituals.
  • Brides – Remember to thank your father before he escorts you down the aisle.  Enjoy the walk and that you have someone to help you.
  • Grooms – Handshake or hug, show your appreciation for your bride’s father’s support on this day as he gives her away.
  • Brides – Give your dad a flashback to his own wedding and how far he’s come by honoring him with a father/daughter dance.
  • The Couple – Your dads know that you love them, but make sure everyone else knows how much by thanking them during the toast.

Rebecca and Brian’s dads were amazing the whole day!  They helped out in keeping the couple from seeing each other before the first glimpse.  Carrying messages back and forth, always on the lookout.  Brian’s dad put the finishing touches on the groom to make him perfect for the first look.

Rebecca’s dad had us all charmed as he retold stories, hopes, and dreams in his toast to the couple.  Most of all, the look on his face as he escorted Rebecca to Brian says everything you’d need to know about a father on a wedding day.

Happy Father’s Day to you all!
