Northwest Wedding with English Garden Inspiration and Lawn Games

Jean and Phil were married surrounded by friends and family who had all known each other far before these two were even born.  It was one of the closest and most intimate groups I’ve ever had the privilege of working with.  Painters, costumers, fabric artists, master gardeners, and more were amongst their guests and the whole day was hosted at a friend’s home that was prepared over the course of a year to house this wedding.  It was an inspiring group effort that brought Jean and Phil’s English garden party concept to reality complete with the bunting and garden roses.  One of my favorite quirks of the day was the nod to Jean’s mother’s time as a costumer for the stage.  They had to figure out how to get the bride from the house to the reception tent for the ceremony and not be seen by all of the seated guests.  They created a moving “curtain” so that she remained backstage until her big moment.  Enjoy this charming wedding below!
