Pretty Pink Wedding in Snohomish at Jardin Del Sol

Where do we even start with Tanaya and Matt!?  We adore them so much and they were absolutely crucial in uniting us with our most amazing dog, Bokeh.  So here’s the story:

I met Tanaya through my fantastic esthetician, Jamie of Haven Skincare.  We had a little “getting to know you meeting” and I’m pretty sure we both knew it was a perfect match!  Tanaya had an all around fun wedding planned at Jardin del Sol in Snohomish and at that point, it was a new venue for us.  So fast forward a few months and it’s May.  Off we go to the Jardin del Sol Open House so that I can get a look and a feel for the place we’ll be shooting prior to their September wedding.  Well, that was the start.  See, that’s when I met Jardin del Sol’s owner, Melanie.  She is AMAZING {and was also just recently one of our brides!  Check out our Facebook page for some snaps}  But at that point I was just meeting her and found out that in addition to the venue, at that point she was a breeder of Mini Australian Shepherds.  Now, we had lost my fourteen year old dog, Winston that February and with it being May, heading into wedding season was not the right time to take on a new pup.  But I took that information, put it in my pocket and filed it away.

Come September, inquiring minds asked about the puppy status going on at Melanie’s and found out that there *were* puppies.  I don’t know if you’ve ever met a Mini Aussie puppy but wow, are they cute.  But… they are also insane.  The puppy energy was a little much for me and this is where Bokeh comes in.  Bokeh was the, ahem, stud – dog…  yup.  But!  With the growing popularity of Jardin del Sol {seriously, look at this venue, it’s amazing} Melanie was getting out of the puppy biz ;)  So we met our Bokeh – he came right out to me and gave me one of his snuggly hugs and I just knew.  He was supposed to be ours.  And!  Despite every client threatening to steal him because he’s the MOST adorable, he’s here to stay!

So please enjoy Tanaya and Matt’s wedding!  I know that I will always have fond memories of their day!  Be sure to look for two incredibly special moments during the ceremony – Tanaya and Matt’s dog Chico as the shy ring bearer and Tanaya’s grandfather escorting her down the aisle and then renewing his vows as a surprise to Tanaya’s grandmother because it was also their anniversary!

Thanks to the wedding pros who made this wedding happen:
